Another Success Story

Thanks to strategic pricing coupled with a playful print campaign by Applied Communications, Schickedanz West has seen great success in its plans to sell its remaining inventory in two developments: Borrego Ridge and Radium Valley Vacation Resort, both in Radium, BC. Since the campaign launched, Schickedanz West has sold 11 homes and homesites.

In the intervening months, our client roster has expanded to include companies from the oil & gas, business services, and health & wellness industries. How the Numbers Brought Great Numbers

Applied Communications recently collaborated with Tamani to develop a new campaign for Riversong, their new Cochrane community. Entitled “Cochrane has your number,” the campaign focuses on figures and statistics that help position Cochrane as the perfect place to call home. Thanks largely to the campaign, Riversong showhome traffic rocketed from 164 visits in December to 401 in January (a 145% increase), and Website traffic jumped from 287 visits in December to 660 in January (a 130% increase).
A Toast to One of Our Own

Applied’s veteran production artist and trusted go-to guy, Palmo Carpino was recently recognized as a Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) – the greatest honour that can be earned by a member of Toastmasters International. The DTM award is given only to those who have demonstrated outstanding leadership and communication skills and who have used these skills to help others in their self-development efforts. A Refreshingly Simple Online Experience

Form and function. Here at Applied, we never let one overshadow the other. Case in point: the Website we recently created for Jayman’s ENSPA – a concept that allows homeowners to incorporate one of 12 extraordinary spa options into their new Jayman homes. Designed with the uplifting aesthetic appeal you’d expect from an online spa experience, the site is also notable for its seamless functionality and ease of navigation. Applied Communications has always understood that when people purchase homes, physical product is always a secondary consideration. What matters most is place – the character and attributes of the broader community. This idea is at the heart of Tamani Communities’ latest campaign, which piques interest in Riversong – Tamani’s new Cochrane community – by presenting interesting, often surprising facts and figures related to Cochrane’s key selling propositions. The campaign includes print ads, radio spots, community hockey boards and a “station domination” at the Dalhousie C-Train Station.
The Elements of Success

When the Canadian Home Builders’ Association announced its SAM Award finalists on December 8, no one was more thrilled to see Lifestyle Homes on the list (twice!) than we were. A direct mail piece Applied Communications created for Lifestyle’s “Elements” division earned a spot in the finals for Best Direct Mail Promotion, while the Elements presentation centre we designed is among the Best Sales Office finalists. Winners will be announced at CHBA’s 66th National Conference in Quebec City on February 28.
As Good as Gold

Applied doesn’t produce great work solely for the purpose of winning awards…but when something we’ve created earns top marks from a panel of judges, we get pretty excited about it.
On November 8, the fulfillment package we produced for One River Place in Atlanta (by The Halter Companies and Trammell Crow Residential) earned a prestigious Gold OBIE for ‘Best Community Brochure’ in the 28th Annual OBIE Awards. Presented by the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association, an OBIE is the highest honor a company in the Atlanta housing industry can earn.
